Explores the organizational structure and responsibilities of an air freight forwarder. Participants will learn about air forwarder customer service principles, origin station responsibilities, and clerical and communication tasks at the origin station. The course covers the functions of an air cargo terminal, including physical cargo handling and terminal job descriptions. Participants will also understand the role of air cargo consolidation gateways, the functions of destination agents, and the management functions within an air forwarder organization. Additionally, the course distinguishes between company-wide and station/branch/terminal management structures and explores air forwarder sales, including inside vs. outside sales.
