He began his career as a headhunter for top freight forwarders across five continents, cultivating deep insight into international trade through travels to more than 83 countries. This global exposure has given John a unique understanding of the people, systems, and dynamics that drive supply chains worldwide.
Over the years, John has identified a critical challenge facing the industry: the accelerating loss of experienced talent without sufficient pipelines to train the next generation. Recognizing the widening skills gap and the long-standing issues with workforce development, he founded FreightPath—a cutting-edge learning platform tailored specifically for the logistics and supply chain sector.FreightPath offers a dynamic library of over 500 courses, covering key topics such as customs compliance, air and ocean freight operations, cargo risk management, and more. The platform’s standout feature is its proprietary assessment engine, which personalizes learning paths based on each user’s current skillset, role, and career goals, enabling targeted, measurable development.

His background spans a diverse range of roles—from building global sales teams to launching digital freight technologies—at organizations such as American Airlines, Panalpina, GT Nexus, and project44. Known for his ability to align people, process, and innovation, Cary has consistently led initiatives that fuel growth, enable transformation, and create lasting industry impact.
