Course Overview
This course equips logistics professionals with the knowledge to interpret and apply Bill of Lading (B/L) instructions and documentation accurately. Participants will learn how cargo acceptance and delivery points are specified, the meaning of codes like CY and CFS, and the role of door-to-door B/Ls and service/tariff codes (traditional vs. ISA). The training also covers the significance of cargo acceptance, on-board, and issue dates; the concept of a “clean on-board” B/L; and how U.S. export license validity and customs requirements align with B/L documentation. By the end, learners will be able to manage B/L details with greater confidence, compliance, and efficiency.
