Course Overview

This course provides a foundational understanding of quantity and units of measure, exploring how values are defined and quantified beyond simple piece counts. Students will learn to set up and compute currency conversions for both purchasing and selling foreign exchange, gaining practical skills for financial and international trade applications.

• The definition of quantity which is more technically referred to as the value of something.
• The definition of unit of measure: what is it that the value quantifies? This is needed whenever a value is something other than piece count.
• The set up and computation of a currency conversion for purposes of purchasing foreign exchange.
• The set up and computation of a currency conversion for purposes of selling foreign exchange.
